Iowa school board elections are held in November of odd-numbered years. The next school board election will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The Decorah CSD Board of Directors has two seats up for election; both seats are four-year terms. School Board volunteers are highly valued leaders in the district as they are elected to represent what is best for students, families, and staff. Board members volunteer their time by collaborating and holding monthly board meetings that focus on developing effective policies, establishing efficient budgets, and advocating for high-quality public education that prepares students for success.
