Theatre Camps at New Minowa Players Theatre
Join us for three days of imagination, creativity, and theatre fun at the New Minowa Players Theatre! These brand new summer theatre camps are packed with theatre games, acting, dance, singing, and crafts—all designed to spark curiosity and build confidence on stage.
When: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day for three days.
Where: New Minowa Players Theatre (906 S Mill St, Decorah, IA 52101).
What: Ages 6–8: Magical & Wacky Adventures, July 9th-11th
Dive into a whimsical world inspired by Dr. Seuss, Alice in Wonderland, and the quirky tales of Roald Dahl! Expect wild characters, silly stories, and endless fun.
Ages 9–11: Fairy Tale Camp, July 16th-18th
Step into the enchanted world of fairy tales! Campers will explore classic and twisted tales through drama, movement, and song.
Ages 12–14: Mythology Camp, July 23rd-25th
From Greek gods to Norse legends, campers will bring ancient myths to life through theatre, storytelling, and performance.
Cost and Payment: Each camp cost $75 per camper. Registration and payment are due by June 20th and can be sent via Venmo ( to @Jensen-Korsness) or via check made out to Jensen Korsness and dropped off at New Minowa Players Theatre (906 S Mill St, Decorah, IA 52101).
Instructing the camps are Sophia Adkins of Shenandoah, Iowa and Jensen Korsness of Decorah, Iowa. Sophia and Jensen are currently getting their Bachelor's Degree in Theatre for Youth and Communities at the University of Northern Iowa. With over a decade of experience on stage, Sophia and Jensen are excited to teach the next generation of young performers!
