This year’s Decorah Middle School’s First LEGO League teams were challenged to create avenues to encourage people to be more active. Team 4J’s and the Rest–Bryce Elsbernd, Landyn Hook, Jakob Maret, Amelia Pankow, Jordan Sims, Jack Sovern, and Jerald Thompson–developed a website that encourages participants to navigate through a series of tiers to earn points as they complete different activities. Their website is https://sites.google.com/decorahvikings.k12.ia.us/dfe.

Team Justeah Grantiana–Elliana Brodbeck, Justin Fortman, Austin Helgerson, Leah Suhr, and Grant Zilka–also developed a website encouraging participants to complete different levels of activities for chances at a prize. Their website is https://sites.google.com/decorahvikings.k12.ia.us/vikingwellness.

Instructor Steve Larson remarked, “These students have worked hard on their projects, and we hope they encourage people to be more active in a fun way.”
