Sometimes, the people who make the biggest difference are the ones who don’t say much at all. Eric Kirkeby is one of those people. As a longtime custodian at Decorah Middle School, Eric quietly goes about his work each day, making sure our building is clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for students and staff. He may be a man of few words, but his work speaks for itself. From the things we notice to the countless things we don’t, Eric takes care of the details that help our school run smoothly. He is dependable, consistent, and always working behind the scenes to make sure the middle school is ready to go. We are grateful for Eric’s many years of service to DMS and for the quiet, steady way he helps make our school a better place every day. Thank you, Eric, for all you do for our students and staff!
