Ms. Breitenbach-Dirks is one of the most caring and dedicated teachers I have ever encountered. She teaches English 10, Advanced English 10, and AP Literature and Composition, and it is clear that she genuinely loves what she teaches. Her passion for literature and writing is real, and that energy carries into her classroom every single day. She does not just assign readings; she brings them to life. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and it makes students want to engage, think more deeply, and do their best work. What stands out most is the way she balances high expectations with unwavering support. She challenges students to think critically, write clearly, and push themselves academically, especially in her advanced and AP classes. At the same time, she is patient, encouraging, and always willing to provide extra help. She holds students to high standards because she believes they are capable of meeting them, and that belief makes a difference. As a speech coach, she brings that same level of commitment. She helps students find confidence in their voice and take pride in their work. She invests her time generously, offering feedback, encouragement, and guidance that goes far beyond what is required. Ms. Breitenbach-Dirks is kind and approachable and consistently puts students first. She listens. She advocates. She goes the extra mile when a student needs support. She truly brings out the best in others, and the impact she has on students lasts well beyond a single class or season.
