Who we are
Decorah Community School District is located in northeast Iowa and is dedicated to providing academic and service excellence to approximately 1700 students from early childhood through twelfth grade.
Decorah CSD, like every public school district in Iowa, is governed by a board of directors. The board members are responsible for determining policies, setting the budget, and maintaining standards of excellence in education on behalf of the community. Decorah voters elect board members for four-year terms. Because the school board members are committed to their own lifelong learning, they are regular participants in training and board development opportunities through the Iowa Association of School Boards.
