Tech Department Overview

The DCSD Technology Department will provide technology support to parents, including assistance regarding configuration, access to PowerSchool, use of technology, and troubleshooting. Such support will be limited to devices and technology provided by the district.

1:1 Technology for Preschool through 12th Grade

Every DCSD student has an electronic device to access the internet and digital classroom materials, nurturing the individual learning experience. Preschool through 4th grade use iPads, and students starting 5th grade are issued a Macbook Air.

  • Middle School & High School
    • Students are provided with a Macbook Air that has been assigned to them.
    • Students are allowed “anywhere anytime use,” meaning they are allowed to take their school-assigned device home with them at night and on the weekends. Access to technology outside of the school day enhances learning and academic growth opportunities.
  • Elementary schools:
    • Each DCSD elementary classroom has a mobile charging and storage cart that maintains a device for each student in that classroom.
